KARACHI: The Government of Sindh has announced public holiday on 2nd October 2020 (14th Safar 1442 (A.H) on account of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai annual Urs.
Notification dated 2nd October 2020, to the above effect has been issued, according to which, Sindh government offices, schools, colleges, universities, and other educational institutions will remain closed on Friday 2nd October 2020 (14th Safar 1442 (A.H) all across the Sindh Province.

The three-day Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai is celebrated annually in Bhitshah urban of Matiari region. On the occasion, thousands of devotee of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai turn up to pay their greetings to the great Sufi saint and poet of Sindh.
On this instance, the small town along the National Highway around 50 Kilometers is visited by thousands of devotees of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai. The Urs festivity last for three days that features music, prayers, cattle shows, exhibition, literary events, and sports.
